The Perseverance rover is the latest robotic explorer to land on Mars as part of NASA's ongoing Mars 2020 missions. The rover is designed to explore the Martian surface looking for signs of past and present life on the planet. The mission will collect and store a set of rock and soil samples that could be returned to Earth in the future.

Ingenuity, a small robotic helicopter, was launched with the Perseverance rover and on 19 April 2021, successfully completed the first powered controlled flight by an aircraft on a planet besides Earth, taking off vertically, hovering and landing for a flight duration of 39.1 seconds.

Metal Earth models feature amazing detail with parts cut from one or more 4” square high quality steel sheets. Easy to follow instructions are included with each kit and no glue or solder is required. Simply snip out the pieces and bend the tabs through corresponding connection points.

The Mars Rover Perseverance & Ingenuity Helicopter metal modelling kit includes 4,5 metal sheets containing components of the rover and helicopter. Parts can be removed from the metal sheets by hand, however a pair of wire cutters is recommended. In assembling the 3D model, tweezers make an ideal tool for bending and twisting connection tabs.

Specifications:
