Built primarily for utility and medical evacuation purposes, the UH-1 first flew in 1956 and entered combat service during the Vietnam War. A Hollywood icon, the Huey has been featured in many motion pictures and television series.

The UH-1 Huey Helicopter metal modelling kit includes 2.25 metal sheets containing parts of the helicopter. Parts can be removed from the metal sheet by hand, however a pair of wire cutters is recommended. In assembling the 3D model, tweezers make an ideal tool for bending and twisting connection tabs.
