The Supermarine Spitfire was the most widely produced and strategically important British single-seat fighter of World War II. The Spitfire, renowned for winning victory laurels in the Battle of Britain (1940-41), served in every theatre of the war and was produced in more variants than any other British aircraft.
Metal Earth models feature amazing detail with parts cut from one or more 4 inch square high quality steel sheets. Easy to follow instructions are included with each kit and no glue or solder is required. Simply snip out the pieces and bend the tabs through corresponding connection points.
The Supermarine Spitfire metal modelling kit includes 2 metal sheets containing parts of the aircraft. Parts can be removed from the metal sheet by hand, however a pair of wire cutters is recommended. In assembling the 3D model, tweezers make an ideal tool for bending and twisting connection tabs.
