The F-86 Sabre is a United States transonic jet fighter, first deployed during the Korean War. As the first US swept-wing fighter, the F-86 Sabre was engineered to counter the Soviet MiG-15. Produced by North American Aviation, the F-86 was considered one of the most important combat aircraft during the early 1950s.
Metal Earth models feature amazing detail with parts cut from one or more 4 inch square high quality steel sheets. Easy to follow instructions are included with each kit and no glue or solder is required. Simply snip out the pieces and bend the tabs through corresponding connection points.
The F-86 Sabre metal modelling kit includes 3 metal sheets containing parts of the aircraft. Parts can be removed from the metal sheet by hand, however a pair of wire cutters is recommended. In assembling the 3D model, tweezers make an ideal tool for bending and twisting connection tabs.
