The USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) is a Nimitz Class, nuclear-powered aircraft carrier. She is 1092 feet long, weighs more than 100?000 tons and is capable of handling 90 tactical high-performance aircraft and helicopters. She was launched in 1984, and saw her first action during Operation Desert Storm in 1991. She has since participated in several wars and operations – Operation Allied Force in 1999, Operation Enduring Freedom in 2001/2002 and Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003.

The USS Theodore Roosevelt Premium Series metal modelling kit includes 2 metal sheets containing components of the ship. Parts can be removed from the metal sheet by hand, however a pair of wire cutters is recommended. In assembling the 3D model, tweezers make an ideal tool for bending and twisting connection tabs.
